Funshine Express Curriculum for family child care enhances the developmental growth of children from infant to school-age. We have chosen to use the Funshine Express Curriculum for its daily activities written for our mixed-age group setting. Aligned with the NAFCC Quality Standards of Developmental Learning Activities and most Quality Rating Improvement Standards (QRIS), Funshine Express meets the standards outlined in Small Wonders Core values. Funshine Express curriculum can be individualized to fit the interests of each child and all art projects invite children to complete them in their own individualized manner. Funshine Express provides innovative tools so that we can keep parents informed and involved. Talk to us today to learn more.

Yes, it’s still happening! Our children, team, and families work really hard all year. We want to take one day each year to acknowledge the children transitioning to kindergarten and celebrate the accomplishments of all children, from the youngest to the oldest. This culminates in the end-of-summer celebration and graduation, bringing families and friends together at an off-site location for fun, food, and community. All are welcome! Join us in celebrating their milestones. To register, please send your full name and year(s) at Small Wonders to smalltoogcc@gmail.com.
Toddlers learn to talk, and preschoolers learn to communicate. From learning the sounds that make up words to figuring out what words on a page mean, this is an important phase of a child’s life. During the summer months, when families have the most leisure time of the year and relax a little more, we want to encourage children to learn in a fun, relaxing, and explorative way. That is why Small Wonders introduced the summer reading program. Children and families are working together, choosing books, reading independently, discussing and writing or dictating their stories, and then keeping a record, or chart, of their reading time. Encouraged to share their favorite stories, writing and drawings with peers and the child care team, the celebration of summer reading is acknowledged at the annual end-of-summer celebration and graduation. Celebrate summer reading with us!

Kimberly Koala is a preschool koala who is learning to read. She would like to share the fun and engaging time she is having on this reading journey with all of her friends. Kimberly first discovers her love of books and tries really hard to get her friends' attention, hoping that they will love books as well. As the second book unfolds, Kimberly meets her friends in one of her favorite places to enjoy the stories being read and share their thoughts about the stories. I am sure that after you read the first and second books, you will be really excited about the third book coming in the spring of 2024. Visit my
